This is an ambient campaign with a digital component for Pier 1 Imports in which pieces of their inventory are placed in locations that are generally associated with boring, stale furniture and decor. The primary idea is that if Pier 1 Imports can transform an airport terminal or DMV waiting room into a comfortable yet beautifully dynamic space, then the consumer’s home can also be transformed from “ordinary to extraordinary.” The digital component is an addition to the Pier 1 Imports website that allows users to upload a photo and transform the space with new furniture and decor.
